The Boston Red Sox return to action in 2020 in pursuit of a tenth World Series championship title. Also returning to the team will be shortstop Xander Bogaerts, third baseman Rafael Devers, designated hitter J.D. Martinez, starting pitchers Chris Sale, and many other familiar faces looking to also win a fourth division crown in five seasons.

Seating and Game Day Tickets

Seating capacity is 37,305 for day games and 37,755 for night games; standing room sales allow for sales to surpass those totals but full capacity is under 40,000 spectators, one of eight Major League Baseball parks that cannot accommodate at least that number. Between 15 May 2003 and Opening Day of 2013, the Red Sox sold out 794 consecutive regular season games, the longest such streak in baseball history, as well as an additional 26 post-season games.

Tickets follow a variable pricing structure in line with the model used by most major league ball clubs. A ticket against the New York Yankees, when demand would be highest, will be the most expensive, while the same ticket for a weeknight game in April against the non-division opponent would be the least.

More Than Baseball…

Fenway Park hosts more than just baseball games. The Boston Patriots (later the New England Patriots) used Fenway Park as its home stadium between 1963 and 1968. In 2010, the third annual Winter Classic saw the Boston Bruins best the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in sudden-death overtime. In 2014, a soccer match between Liverpool, an English Premier League club, and AS Roma, an Italian Serie A club, ended in a 2-1 win for AS Roma. In 2015, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, then the number four team in the national, played against Boston College and won 19-16. In 2016, Fenway hosted a big air snowboarding and skiing competition.

More recently, recording artists are finding Fenway Park a great place to give a concert. Since 2003, several have made stops there, including Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, Jason Aldean, Justin Timberlake, Lady GagaPaul McCartney, and Billy Joel, to name a few. 2020 will be no different as artists including James Taylor, Maroon 5, Guns N’ Roses, Dead & Company, Def Leppard & Motley Crue, Green Day, Joel, Aerosmith, and New Kids on the Block invade the park. Don’t wait; get your Fenway concert tickets today!
