Despite growing up in Trail, British Columbia, nearly 2300 miles from Boston, Bay's father, Dave, was a diehard Red Sox fan. The young Canadian's room was decorated with two big posters, one of Jim Rice and the other of Carl Yasrzemski; today, those posters reside in his parent's basement.
