- 16 May 2011 - The Red Sox rally from an early 6-0 deficit to win 8-7 over the Orioles at Fenway Park. Adrian Gonzalez doubles off the wall in left field to plate Jacoby Ellsbury from second in the bottom of the ninth for the win.
- 25 August 2012 - In one of the biggest and most surprising trades in team history, the Red Sox send Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, Nick Punto and cash to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Ivan De Jesus, James Loney and Allen Webster. The Dodgers later complete the trade by sending Rubby De La Rosa and Jerry Sands to the Red Sox on 04 October.
