Center Field Triangle
Centerfielders dread having to chase a ball to the deepest part of the park. The center field triangle is located to the right of the Red Sox bullpen, 420 feet from home plate, and includes the center field wall. A ball that falls safely into the triangle usually means a triple at the least; one bad bounce, and you could be looking at an inside-the-park home run. It was long rumored that Fenway Park was also the only ballpark that had a ground-rule triple, but that was only an urban legend that gained steam thanks to Boston-area television sports reporters giving credibility to this erroneous belief.
