Citgo Sign

Now that the Monster Seats have been erected, it's not as easy to spot but, just over the left field wall and perched in Kenmore Square across I-90, is the infamous and majestic CITGO sign, which has stood in place since 1965. The bright orange triangle is easily seen from the park; at night, the pulsing red, blue, and white neon are visible from the park and other parts of the city. CITGO decided to refurbish the original sign in 1983 in response to public outcry over plans to dismantle what many considered urban art. To this day, it still blinks out its forty-year-old message.
